Evolving through adaptation to a changing market has propelled our company for over 30 years. Continuing to search the world for a new source, a new yarn, a new fabric all while developing long-long relationships with cultures and peoples will forever be our future.
Steven Harsey – Orange County, California
Harsey and Associates was founded in 1979 becoming the first company to import silk fabrics for the U.S. home furnishing’s industry under the Orient Express Silk Collection identity specializing in woven silk fabrics from India and Thailand. Steven Harsey Textiles began where Orient Express left off — with high-end exclusive decorative fabrics, not just in silk. . . always primarily focused on natural fiber fabrics.
In the mid-1990’s several trips to Europe led to discovery of unique weaving mills in Italy, France, Belgium, and Germany. Working with our exclusive designs from leading artists around the world and with the mill’s own archives, new patterns and colors are constantly being created to separate our collection from the large mass-market distributors.
The collection continues to grow as Steven and Rosemary travel the world looking for that special piece of art, a wonderful new textile construction, and new fashion leading colors to set the trends, not just follow them.
Traveling around the world has provided me with a wealth of knowledge about the cultural diversity of the people of our planet. It has also provided me with an opportunity to meet interesting (and wealthy) people, many who have asked me to design, weave, and decorate their entire palatial estates. With this knowledge, I have enjoyed creating the Erre Erre collection, making it available to interior designers and architects world wide, now through Harsey and Associates in America.
Ezio Panzeri – Milano, Italy
The company was founded in the late 40’s developing mainly in the Italian market. In the past 15 years under present owner and creative genius, Ezio Panzeri the company grew dramatically.
After extensive research, looking particularly for the handwork and the art of weaving, studying side by side with the weaver fabulous fabrics are created exclusively for Erre Erre.
The ancient craft of weaving is still alive as our weavers use warp and weft to stage the framework that provides richness and quality to our entire collection. In this way, our fabrics create an elegant atmosphere for any project, from an Italian villa to an Arabian palace to an exquisite home anywhere in the world.
